Together Center collects 1,200 pairs of socks for the Eastside homeless community

Thanks to everyone who participated in the sock drive. Together Center’s March Sock Drive, extended a week by popular demand, concluded with the pickup of more than 650 pairs of socks from Alexander, Morford & Woo in Seattle. A grand total of 1,200 pairs of socks were gathered for use by homeless men, women and children on the Eastside.  Read more.

Redmond Rotary supports front door services

Together Center has received a $1,500 grant from the Rotary Club of Redmond.  The grant will support the center’s Front Door Services project to increase one-on-one help and referral tools available to those seeking services at Together Center. Read more.

Together Center receives grant from Employees Community Fund of Boeing Puget Sound

Employees Community Fund of The Boeing CompanyTogether Center has received a grant of $35,420 from the Employees Community Fund of Boeing Puget Sound (ECF).  The grant supports renovation of our Redmond Campus.  We are very grateful to Boeing employees for their contributions to the community. King County joins national program to aid youths in crisis

King County has joined the Safe Place program. A young person who is scared, lost, or in trouble can approach any bus driver and request help or say, “I need a safe place.” Friends of Youth, on the Together Center campus, along with YouthCare and Auburn Youth Resources will respond 24 hours a day to calls from Safe Place partners. All three provide services and shelter beds for youth ages 12 to 17.  Read more.

Together Center gains 3 new human service programs

Three human service organizations joined Together Center, a one-stop human services campus serving East King County, on August 1. The agencies join approximately 15 other health, housing and human service organizations providing service to over 60,000 Eastsiders each year from the center’s Redmond campus. Three agencies join Together Center’s human service campus

Dr. Tina Butt of Sammamish Named to Board of Directors

Tina ButtTogether Center is happy to announce the addition of Dr. Tina Butt to its Board of Directors.  She has lived in Sammamish for over 30 years.  Since 2003, Butt has served as Executive Director of Teaching and Learning for the Mukilteo School District, which followed more than twenty years in the Issaquah School District in a variety of roles, including Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction.  Together Center Chair Barb de Michele noted, “We are very pleased to gain Tina’s involvement.  She is a community leader with superb experience and skills and knows well the importance of partnerships between the worlds of public education and human services.”
